In this session we’ll cover the basics of how websites and APIs work, how to get data from them with R and how to serve your own API.
There’s a huge amount of information and data publically available on the web. Getting it into R can be easy if you know a little about how websites work and the various packages available to you. Once we’ve covered that, we’ll touch on how we can serve our own data or models through web APIs that enable other services or colleagues to use our data streams and model outputs.
